Happy chilly weather season! Woot! Fall has not quite arrived, but cardigan weather sure has. : ) Because of this, I decided to spend my afternoon with a latte and Catching Fire (yes, the second hunger games book) at cafe Milo. I finished the book and deemed my day successful!

For the last few days, I’ve been listening to Bon Iver on repeat, reading, and going on a few runs. It’s been great, especially since I am realizing that I likely won’t have much homework this semester and will be able to enjoy finishing more books this year than last!

Oh wow! It has been about a month since I have posted anything! I have gotten out of the habit of blogging, but I want to make it back into a habit.

Major life update: I am engaged!! I am so happy thinking about the fact that I get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend! I feel so extremely blessed by God. Pictures coming soon 🙂

Other (much less important) life updates include reading the second hunger games book, a book by A.W. Tozer, and finishing up Job in the Bible. I’ve started fall semester classes and truly enjoy them! I’m already struggling with art history, but hopefully by recording the lectures I can defeat my short attention span and learn the necessary information to complete the class well! Upon returning to Ames, I have also sketched out a pattern for a tote bag that I will soon make Rachel Kirkpatrick. I’m very excited about this project, because the last time I sketched my own patterns and sewed from them was when I was a little girl trying to make myself a skirt!

The other day I went to Reimann Gardens and took some photos and it was my first time shooting with a macro lens. I loved it! I am amazed at the quality of some – especially because these pictures are straight from the camera. I’m collecting photos of nature for a photography project and think some of these will work well!
